User setup
Set up a local machine to route its harnesses through the LLM gateway. Run the Mintive installer:
curl -fsSL https://downloads.mintmcp.com/releases/mintive-cli | sh
The installer supports common Linux distributions, macOS, and Windows. It sets up local binaries, primarily the mintive CLI, that configure your local harnesses to talk to the gateway.
On first run, the installer also prompts for your policy configuration: which harnesses to configure, and whether to use OAuth or API keys for access.
Re-run or undo setup
- If a harness runs into trouble during setup, run
mintive unconfigureto back the change out. - Run
mintive setupat any point to go through the full installation steps again.
Upgrade from the mintmcp CLI
Earlier releases installed the CLI as mintmcp. Re-run the installer to switch to mintive. The installer runs mintive setup, which updates your harness configurations to call mintive.
